Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)

The 61-member Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development was founded in 1961 as an intergovernmental economic organization with the objective of promoting economic development and global trade. The organization define evidenced-based policies that promotes “prosperity, equality and well-being for all.”

In collaboration with the WTO, the OECD has set up a monitoring framework to access the implementation of the Aid for Trade initiatives. The framework consists of four elements (i) mainstreaming and prioritizing trade (ii) trade-related projects and response; (iii) enhanced capacity to trade and fall, improved trade performance and reduced poverty impact. It also plays a pivotal role in the Aid for Trade Global Review and the formulation of the Aid for trade work program.
